Here Comes the Bus App (Apple or Android)
Sheldon Independent School District's Transportation Department is excited to announce the utilization of an app called; Here Comes the Bus, for the upcoming school year.
Here Comes the Bus is an easy-to-use school bus tracking app that gives parents and students the ability to track the location of their school buses. It shows parents where their child's bus is on a map, and it allows students and parents to accurately gauge just when their bus will arrive.This way, children no longer have to stand outside in the dark during inclement weather for an unpredictable amount of time. It also takes security and comfort to the next level by allowing parents to track their children's buses.
Here Comes the Bus translates GPS information into an easy-to-follow map that works from a computer, tablet, or smartphone allowing you to see where the bus is and how close it is to your home. The app is also customizable - making it easy to set notifications to be sent to you and/or your children when the bus is close. Users set up a geofence, up to two miles around their home, and once the bus comes into the geofence area a notification is sent on the approximate arrival time.
Sheldon ISD’s access code in the app is 86407. To access the app, you must input your child’s ID number. This can be found in Skyward Family Access.
