School Health Advisory Council

The Student Health Advisory Council ("SHAC") is established by the Board of Trustees to assist the District in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the District’s health education instruction and in policies and resources regarding physical health and activity, mental health, public health services, food services, and related topics. The SHAC meets a minimum of four times per year and reports at least annually to the Board. Meetings are open to the public, though no period of open public comment is required. Minutes, recordings, and reports of all meetings will be available here on the district website. See Board policies BDF(LEGAL), EHAA(LEGAL and LOCAL), and FFA(LOCAL) for more information.

The Sheldon ISD School Health Advisory Council's 2024-2025 meeting schedule is: 

  • Friday, September 20, 2024 - 11:30AM-1:00PM
  • Friday, November 22, 2024 - 11:30AM-1:00PM
  • Friday, January 31, 2024 - 11:30AM-1:00PM
  • Friday, April 4, 2024 - 11:30AM-1:00PM

All meetings of the SHAC will be hosted at the Panther Zone, 11433 East Sam Houston Pkwy N, Houston, TX 77044.
