Newcomer Academy

The district provides Newcomer students specialized classes their first year enrolled in U.S. schools and includes sheltered classes for core content with teachers trained in content based language acquisition. These classes provide students new to the country  accelerated  English acquisition through specialized instruction by a certified ESL teacher trained in second language acquisition. These academies are provided at King Middle and King High School.
