About SEF

The Sheldon ISD Education Foundation (SEF) exists to support Sheldon ISD through fundraising efforts that enhance classrooms in the school district. As one of the faster growing school districts in the greater-east Houston area, Sheldon ISD has more than 11,000 students and 1,600 employees.  Sheldon ISD serves families in Harris County near Sheldon Lake in Houston. The district operates two early childhood facilities, six elementary schools, two middle schools, one comprehensive high school, one 9th Grade Campus and one non-traditional high school.

Sheldon ISD's mission is to maintain a safe environment where staff, parents, and community work together to engage students in personalized learning opportunities to ensure they are college- and career ready. SEF is able to provide resources that enhance creativity in the classroom by establishing partnerships with businesses across the east Houston area. The foundation strives to form strong partnerships with leaders in the Sheldon community based with the needs of the school and staff as well as resources of the organization.
