Sheldon Early Learning Center

Our program cares for children and grandchildren of district employees who are between the ages of 6 weeks and 4 years old as of September 1st of that school year. Our hours of operation are 6:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday from August to May. During the month of June our hours of operation are  Monday thru Friday  6:30 am to 5:30 pm. The start and stop dates of each school year may vary slightly. The Early Learning Center will be closed on staff holidays but we are open on professional development days with modified hours of operation.

We are a licensed childcare center rated three stars with Texas Rising Star. The Early Learning Center utilizes the Frog Street Curriculum which includes early reading and math skill building, fine motor development, and vocabulary building. We also offer a Baby STEM program!

The Early Learning Center's curriculum, ratios, environment design, teacher requirements and program training follows the guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our approach to learning will provide students hands-on experiences that are developmentally appropriate for their age. The daily schedule will provide exploration opportunities that involve language, math, science, art and music. We would love to have your child here with us.
