Summer Camp

 

Sheldon ISD After School Program Summer Camp (June 1 - July 2)

Sheldon ISD has secured partnerships and grants to offer a Summer After School Program for families at all elementary and middle school campuses during the month of June.

This program is a hands-on enrichment camp designed with two goals:

  • To provide students with unique, real-world experiences that they may not have during the school year.
  • To help reduce summer learning loss that often occurs over the summer.

Program requirements, guidelines, and cost may vary based on grant funding. Sheldon ISD works to keep programs affordable and accessible for families.

Important Information

  • Application period is April 13 through April 17.
  • Space is limited. Students will be selected through a lottery process (not first come, first served).
  • Students who are invited to attend summer school are not eligible for this program.
  • Students do not have to be enrolled in the After School Program during the school year to be considered for summer camp.
  • Students who were disenrolled for any reason are also eligible to apply for summer camp.
  • Camp dates are June 1 through July 2.
  • Camp hours are:
    • 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday (Cycle 11 campuses & partnership campuses)
    • 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (Cycle 12 campuses)

Cost

The program is free of charge to all 21st CCLC funded campuses;

(Sheldon Lake, Sheldon (SECA), The Garrett Elementary (Cravens ECA) , Carroll, Monahan, Royalwood, Null Middle School, 

The program at C.E. King Middle School operated under different funding to provide low cost options to families. The total cost of summer camp is $180 ($30 weekly and a one time registration fee of $30)

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Transportation

  • Transportation is not available for Early Childhood and Elementary students.
  • Transportation is available for middle school students who live in a designated bus zone, as determined by the Sheldon ISD Transportation Department.

Camp Locations

  • Null Middle School and King Middle School students will attend camp at Null Middle School.
  • Sheldon Lake Elementary, H.M. Carroll Elementary, and Garrett Elementary (serving Cravens ECA) will attend camp at Garrett Elementary.
  • Sheldon Elementary (serving SECA), Monahan Elementary, and Royalwood Elementary will attend camp at Monahan Elementary.

To Apply

Use the link below to submit a summer camp application. Students will be selected through a true lottery process, and acceptance is contingent upon campus principal approval.

Students must be students within the district attendance zone to apply. Students zoned to other school districts are not eligible. Students must also be in the PK–8th grade during the 2025–2026 school year to participate.

Registration Timeline

  • Application Period: April 13 – April 17
  • Acceptance Letters Sent: Week of May 4
  • Summer Camp Parent Meeting: Week of May 11 (dates will be sent out in the acceptance letter)
