Applications are currently closed while we review all submissions.
Families who applied will be contacted by phone and email regarding their application status.
If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email krystaclark@sheldonisd.com.
If space becomes available, we will begin contacting families on the waitlist during the week of August 31.
Application Information 2026–2027 School Year
Sheldon ISD is excited to continue providing high-quality after-school opportunities for students across the district. For the 2026–2027 school year, Sheldon ISD has been awarded the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Cycle 13 Grant, which will allow us to expand and continue services at several campuses throughout the district.
The Sheldon ISD After School Program will serve students attending the following campuses through 21st CCLC Cycle 13 funding:
- H.M. Carroll Elementary
- Sheldon Elementary (servicing Sheldon Early Childhood Academy)
- Sheldon Lake Elementary
- Garrett Elementary (servicing Cravens Early Childhood Academy)
- Null Middle School
- C.E. King Middle School
- C.E. King High School (servicing K9)
In addition, Royalwood Elementary and Monahan Elementary will continue providing after-school services through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Cycle 12 Grant in partnership with Harris County Department of Education’s Case for Kids.
Families interested in participating must complete one application for each student.
Important Information
- The Sheldon ISD After School Program is provided at no cost to families.
- Students are expected to attend regularly and actively participate in scheduled program activities.
- The program operates after the regular school day and provides students with opportunities to receive academic support, explore enrichment activities, develop social-emotional skills, and build positive relationships.
- Students will receive a hot meal daily while participating in the program.
- Transportation is available only for students attending KHS, Null Middle School, and C.E. King Middle School who have already been designated as bus riders through Sheldon ISD Transportation.
- Transportation services are not available for students who are not already designated bus riders through the district transportation department.
- Program schedules and activities may vary by campus based on student needs, campus goals, and available resources.
- Families will receive additional communication regarding program start dates, schedules, and expectations prior to the beginning of services.

Use the link below to an application for the 2026-2027 school year. Students will be selected through a true lottery process, and acceptance is contingent upon campus principal approval.
Registration Timeline
- Application Period: July 12th – August 1st
- Acceptance Notifications Sent: Week of August 6th
- Parent Orientation: Week of August 9th
- First Day of Afterschool Program: Week of August 17th
