High School STEM Academy

 

The C.E. King High School STEM Academy opened in the fall of 2018 in 9th grade.  The academy is a pathway of continued STEM coursework focused on an in-depth study of science, technology, engineering, and math in a project-based learning environment.  Students in the KHS STEM Academy will attend advanced-level STEM-focused Math, Science, English, and Social Studies classes.  Students can select elective courses that include computer science and engineering.  Students in the KHS STEM Academy will be on a college/career pathway with the opportunity to graduate with a STEM/ P-TECH endorsement in advanced Math, Advanced Science, Computer Science, Bio-Medical Science, or Engineering, along with several college credit hours and opportunity for Industry Based Certifications.
