Sheldon ISD Construction Overview
In November 2022, Sheldon ISD voters approved a $247.7 million bond proposal to support the district's enrollment growth. The passing of the bond allows Sheldon ISD to continue to support the enrollment growth seen annually with a new 9th and 10th Grade Campus as well as expand Null Middle School and Cravens Early Childhood. Additionally, there will be district-wide facility sustainments and improvements, upgrades to safety and security, new buses purchased with GPS tracking systems and upgrades to classroom technology.
Sheldon ISD is a fast-growth school district which means it sees student enrollment growth of more than 23% over the last eight years. In 2015, Sheldon has approximately 8,500 students, and started the 2022-23 school year with 10,770 students. Demographic studies projected Sheldon ISD to have student enrollment of more than 13,000 by 2026. The district currently serves 11,000 students.
