History of Bond Elections

In May 2016, 99% of Sheldon ISD community members voted in the bond elections, with almost 70% overwhelmingly in support of the bond. The bond package provided construction of new schools to prevent overcrowding and upgrades and improvements to each of SISD's 12 schools.

Sheldon ISD is thankful for a community who has historically supported its initiatives and goals. Prior to 2016, the last bond election was in 2006 for $98.7 million. Funds were used to build schools, purchase land for future facilities, upgrade technology, and renovate current schools and buildings.
