Under House Bill 5, students will now be required to meet satisfactory performance on 5 STAAR EOC assessments instead of 15. The required assessments will be English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology and US History.
 The following are some changes to the previous requirements: 
  1. Seven EOC exams have been eliminated from the testing requirements for graduation: World Geography, World History, English III, Geometry, Algebra II, Chemistry and Physics
  2. The EOC score counting 15% of a student’s final grade has been eliminated
  3. The cumulative score requirement has been eliminated
STAAR EOC Exams will be administered three times a year:  Summer (July), Fall (December) and Spring (April/May)
