Employee Out-of-District Transfer

The Sheldon Independent School District offers limited inter-district transfers for the personal children of full-time employees who do not live within the boundaries of Sheldon ISD.  Transfers are approved based on the Employee Option Transfer guidelines and Board Policy FDA (LOCAL).



 - Legal parent or guardian must be a full time employee for their child to be eligible for an inter-district transfer.
 - Student must be in good standing in regard to attendance, discipline and grades in current district.
 - Student must be in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12.



Applications are approved based on the following limitations:

Space Availability                            Program Availability          Academic Performance             

Attendance (including tardies)        Student Discipline


All transfer applications must have the following documents attached to the application form and must be submitted to the Student Services Office between April 1 and April 30 of the school year preceding the school year OR within the first 90 days of your employment of the requested transfer.



 - All documents must be received in the Student Services Office between April 1st and April 30th preceding the year of the requested transfer.
 - New employees must submit applications within 30 days of employment.
 - All required documentation must be submitted with the application - required documents will not be accepted separately.
