Choose 2020-21 Learning Preference
The State of Texas is requiring all Texas school districts to offer in-person instruction to students but is also allowing parents to choose an online option for their children. Over the summer, Sheldon ISD developed a task force charged with planning and preparing for multiple scenarios we could face during the upcoming school year. SISD will be open for students with safety protocols in place including required facial coverings (masks or face shields) for 3rd through 12th grade students, social distancing, hand sanitizing stations, and other health precautions. Additionally, virtual instruction will be offered for those who choose to not attend on campus will be available. Details of this plan were shared during a Town Hall Meeting on July 13 in English and Spanish.
This week, Sheldon ISD families have an opportunity to determine their preference for learning for the 2020-21 school year. The deadline to declare your child's preference has been extended to Friday, July 24. If you have already completed your declaration, thank you! Your responses will help us plan appropriately for the upcoming school year to best meet the needs of all students. Please use Sheldon ISD’s Skyward Family Access to make the learning preference for your child on the Educational Declaration form by Friday, July 24. Families were mailed information that included login information earlier this month.
