If your child is selected to attend a compass school, you have the option to let their sibling(s) attend that campus as well. We understand that there could be a potential transportation issue, and that is why the district is willing to work with our parents.
Si su hijo es seleccionado para asistir a una escuela de Compass, tiene la opción de permitir que sus hermanos también asistan a esa escuela. Entendemos que podría haber un problema potencial de transporte y es por eso que el distrito está dispuesto a trabajar con nuestros padres.
If families elect for their child to attend a Compass School that is not in their attendance zone, they will need to be able to provide transportation for their child. Bus services are only provided for students attending school in their designated attendance boundary.

The benefit of having these programs at all six elementary schools is every student (first through fifth grade) can participate in the track at the school where they are zoned. For the 2021-22 school year, the program is open for transfers for kindergarten, first and second grades. Students in these three grade levels have the option to transfer to another program outside of their zoned attendance boundary.

Yes. In addition to the Compass Schools, all elementary campuses will offer traditional programs such as Gifted and Talented, Multilingual, Special Education, and more. Content areas like social studies, science, English Language Arts, and math will be offered as well.

No. If you select a program that is already at the school where your attendance zone is designated, you do not need to apply for a Compass School. Your child will automatically receive the program without applying. 
No. Si selecciona un programa que ya está en la escuela donde está designada  a su zona, no necesita solicitar. Su hijo recibirá automáticamente el programa sin solicitarlo.
