Dual Credit

Dual credit provides students with the opportunity to earn college and high school credit. Students must meet the college admission requirements and receive permission from the high school administration prior to enrollment. Strict guidelines apply for meeting testing and application deadlines. Dual credit courses are taught by college instructors at the San Jacinto College North campus, Sheldon Early College High School, and C.E. King High School.

A college grade of a C or better can be applied toward an associate’s degree and may transfer to other colleges and universities. Students can enroll in one or more dual credit courses or participate in specialized dual credit programs--Modified Early College Academy (MECA), Sheldon Early College High School (ECHS), King Nurses in Training (KNIT), and Sheldon T-STEM Academy.
