New Dual Credit Electrical Technology Program and Paid Internship

Sheldon ISD, San Jacinto College Dual Credit and TRIO Electric are offering a new opportunity for students who are interested in Commercial Electrical Technology. The program will serve as training and potentially future employment with TRIO Electric for those students who are eligible for employment. Students will earn the Level I Certificate of Technology from San Jac and any industry certifications they may qualify to receive. Students will work for TRIO as PAID interns during the summer between their junior and senior year. Students who may not be eligible to work can still participate and will complete a residential wiring class during the summer instead of the internship. San Jac is hosting an information night for any interested current sophomores and their parents. TRIO Electric will be there to explain the program and answer any questions. We are excited to get this wonderful opportunity started this Fall.
