FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders of America), a career and technical student organization, took two officers to the State FCCLA Peer Leadership Training in Denton on October 6-7, 2018. Approximately 250 students and advisors from across the state met to learn leadership training in Community Service and Power of One. Professionals in each of the areas worked with students on content, and motivational speaker Patrick Grady worked with the peer educators to understood the value of effective communication and making a difference. Students were charged with collaborating with their local school and community resources, conducting local action projects, and tracking results. Each student will train other students and/or adults in their school districts.
