Sheldon ECHS earns multiple distinctions from state

"This is an exciting honor for our early college," said Annette Clark, the early college dean. "It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and the support of our district administration, Board of Trustees, and the community. We are more than a school. We are a family."

Sheldon Early College High School is a small learning community within C.E. King High School.  The distinctions recognize Sheldon Early College High School's ability to recruit, serve, and retain historically underrepresented students in a rigorous program that combines high school and college coursework. The distinctions acknowledge achieving outcomes-based measures, including the students' success in earning nine college credits as early as 10th grade, as well as the number of students who demonstrate college readiness or attain an associate degree by the time they graduate from high school. The achievement also recognizes the percentage of students who continue their enrollment in college and universities after high school.
