New Sheldon Ambassador Academy open for community

The purpose of the academy is to develop community leaders that encourage interaction, partnership, learning and dialogue to promote and support the district’s mission. This is a year-long program where participants get a look behind the scenes. Sessions focus on specific areas of the district to include operations, academics, student services, athletics, fine arts, school finance and bonds. During the first meeting, attendees heard from Superintendent Dr. King Davis in a State of the District presentation and listened to Board President Eileen Palmer discuss an overview of the role of a school board member.

The Sheldon Ambassador Academy replaces Parent University. Interested participants may include business partners, residents, parents, senior citizens, faith-based organizations and more. Please contact the communications department at or 281-727-2007 for more information.
