Sheldon ISD strives to look for practical ways to save dollars throughout the year. The district works with Centergistic, an energy savings company to identify ways to save on electricity in our schools. Sheldon ISD has hit a major milestone in 2020 saving approximately $1,304,000. Saving funding by using an effective energy management plan ultimately benefits the Sheldon ISD community as well as students and staff.
“A dollar saved is a dollar that we can add back into the classroom,” said Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services Christie Gates. “Being efficient and responsible with an energy management plan allows the district to save money and allocate the funding saved toward enhancing learning opportunities.”
During the December board meeting Gary Clark, Centergistic Regional Vice President of Client Development presented SISD a plaque and check to represent the total saved.
