Sheldon ISD purchases 'Here Comes the Bus' App

Sheldon Independent School District's Transportation Department is excited to announce the utilization of an app called; Here Comes the Bus, for the upcoming school year.

Here Comes the Bus is an easy-to-use school bus tracking app that gives parents and students the ability to track the location of their school buses. It shows parents where their child's bus is on a map, and it allows students and parents to accurately gauge just when their bus will arrive.This way, children no longer have to stand outside in the dark during inclement weather for an unpredictable amount of time. It also takes security and comfort to the next level by allowing parents to track their children's buses.

Thursday, Oct. 25, is a Staff Development Day

Sheldon ISD would like to remind parents and students that Thursday, Oct. 25, is a Staff Development Day. Students do not need to come to school on this day. However, it is a work day for Sheldon ISD staff.

KHS Marching Band Advances to Area Competition

Congratulations to the C. E. King High School Mighty Panthers Marching Band for earning straight Division I ratings from all three judges at Saturday's Regional Marching Band Competition in Galena Park. This is the fourth consecutive year the marching band has received a Division I rating.
