The Houston Area Association for Bilingual Education (HAABE) recognizes outstanding bilingual and ESL educators from Houston and its surrounding areas. The district surprised three individuals who were selected by the multilingual department and voted on by their peers. Congratulations to:
Hillary O’Grady, King High School - Secondary ESL Teacher of the Year
Daisha Kiser, Garrett Elementary - Elementary ESL Teacher of the Year
Claudia Ovalle, Royalwood Elementary - Elementary Bilingual Teacher of the Year
They will now advance to the Region 4 HAABE contest and will be recognized at a banquet in April.
