Sheldon ISD’s Daniel Pfannstiel named Texas Thespian’s Administrator of the Year
Sheldon ISD’s Director of Fine Arts Daniel Pfannstiel has been selected as the Texas Thespian’s Administrator of the Year. He was recognized at the Texas Thespians State Festival on November 16. Texas Thespians present this award to outstanding school administrators who have demonstrated exemplary support for educational theatre.
This was the first time King High School sent students to compete at this event. C.E. King High School theatre senior Caleb Johnson, who recently played Willy Wonka in Sheldon ISD’s production of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, scored a "superior" rating and advanced to Nationals in the Solo Musical category for the International Thespian Society's Thepsy Awards Program.
King High School had 19 students attend this workshop, 13 compete in various "individual events" and the "Tech Team Relay," and several students who earned college theatre program acceptance through auditions and callbacks at this annual gathering of nearly 4000 theatre students from across the state.
