Over Fall Break, students and teachers from the Sheldon ISD Middle School STEM Academy took a field trip downtown to participate in the annual Energy Day Festival, hosted by the Consumer Energy Education Foundation.

The event, which brings together thousands of students and families from across the Houston area, celebrates innovation and education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Each year, Sheldon ISD’s 6th grade STEM students attend the festival for a full day of interactive learning and exploration. Students had the opportunity to engage with STEM professionals, college representatives, and leading Houston companies, gaining hands-on experience through exciting demonstrations and exhibits.

The Energy Day Festival continues to be one of the region’s premier events promoting STEM education, sparking curiosity and innovation among the next generation of scientists and engineers.
