Sheldon ISD is proud to welcome Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly) to our community following the announcement of a $6.5 billion investment to build a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Generation Park. This project, which will create more than 600 jobs, positions the Houston region—and Sheldon ISD—at the center of innovation and opportunity.

“Sheldon Independent School District (ISD) is proud to welcome Lilly to our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Demetrius McCall. “This partnership represents a shared commitment to innovation, education, and opportunity. Together, we will empower our students with the skills and experiences they need to thrive in a global workforce.”

Sheldon ISD students are already connected to this growing industry through a partnership with San Jacinto College’s new Center for Biotechnology at Generation Park. Eleven Sheldon ISD STEM Biomedical Science students are beginning training in the program, giving them first-hand access to cutting-edge equipment and workforce preparation for careers that will help shape the future of medicine.
