Sheldon ISD Earns “A” in Financial Accountability

Sheldon ISD is proud to announce that the district earned an “A – Superior” rating with a 98% score through School FIRST, the Texas Education Agency’s financial accountability system for public schools.

The School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (School FIRST) measures the quality of a school district’s financial management and its ability to responsibly manage public funds. The system helps ensure school districts maintain strong financial practices while maximizing resources available to support students and instruction. An “A” in financial accountability is another example of excellence in action across Sheldon ISD!

Sheldon ISD’s “A – Superior” rating reflects the district’s continued commitment to responsible financial management, transparency, and strong stewardship of taxpayer dollars. The 98% score demonstrates the district’s efforts to maintain sound financial practices while aligning resources with the needs of students, staff, schools, and programs.Every dollar matters.
