Sheldon ISD community elects Board of Trustees for new term

The Sheldon ISD community has elected the following for the Sheldon ISD Board of Trustees:
Place 1 - Candace Randall
Place 2 - Latricia Archie, incumbent
Place 3 - Darius Provost-Evans
Trustees are elected to a four-year term of office. Votes will be canvased at the School Board Meeting on November 19.
Sheldon ISD’s Board of Trustees are responsible for establishing policies of the district and ensuring financial viability. Trustees employ the superintendent, approve the budget, monitor expenditures, set the tax rate and call bond elections.
Sheldon ISD thanks the community for their support in participating in the election. Once the votes have been officially canvased, trustees will be sworn in during the December 17 School Board Meeting.
