Sheldon ISD announces KHS Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Sheldon ISD is proud to announce the Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Joseph Xavier Hernandez, graduating C.E. King High School Valedictorian of his class, is recognized for his outstanding academic excellence, notably achieving the title of "AP Scholar." A dedicated and driven student, Joseph is not only graduating with an Associate Degree in General Studies but has also been actively involved in extracurricular activities such as Cross Country and Track, showcasing his talent in athletics. As a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), Joseph's commitment to his community is evident through his extensive volunteering and community service efforts. Joseph has demonstrated remarkable leadership skills, having held various leadership roles in his school organizations, guiding and inspiring his peers. His future plans include attending Texas A&M University, where he will pursue a degree in Engineering. He chose this field due to his passion for problem-solving and innovation. His personal motto, "Strive for progress, not perfection," continually guides his actions and decisions, encouraging him to make meaningful contributions both in academics and his community.

Bianca Marin Franco is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2025. Bianca has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and character, distinguishing herself as an outstanding student. She serves as the National Honor Society's president, is a student council member, and represents the Class of 2025 on the Dean's Early College Advisory Committee. In her roles as president of both the National Honor Society and the student council, Bianca has successfully transformed the organization's culture by fostering a sense of community and belonging. Bianca will graduate high school with an Associate of Arts degree in Business. She has been accepted to the University of Texas at Austin with a full scholarship, the University of Houston, Rice University with a full ride, and the University of San Francisco, where she has received a $56,000 scholarship. Bianca plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in Management/Administration and Marketing, aiming to work for and eventually lead a nonprofit organization.

The King High School Class of 2025 will graduate at NRG Stadium on June 1. The event will be streamed live on the district’s website.
