Sheldon ISD administrator receives Energy Day Educator Award

Becky Zalesnik, executive director of innovative programs in Sheldon ISD, has been awarded the Energy Day Educator in recognition of her outstanding contributions to STEM education at Sheldon ISD. She was celebrated on October 19 during Energy Day, a free family event STEAM festival with various interactive demonstrations teaching families more about the energy industry. The award is presented on behalf of Region 4 Education Service Center, Consumer Energy Alliance and Phillips 66. Students pictured are representing Sheldon ISD STEM at the Energy Day festival. STEM programs in Sheldon ISD are recognized across the state and nation serving as a model example for other school districts.
