Sheldon ELC earns top star rating from state

The Sheldon Early Learning Center has received the Texas Rising Star four-star rating, the highest level within the Texas Rising Star program. This rating signifies that the program meets rigorous standards that exceed the state's minimum licensing requirements for child care facilities. It demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement and providing exceptional care and education for children, including teacher-child interactions, program administration, and indoor and outdoor environments.

The Sheldon ELC is available for district employee children and grandchildren and services children 6 weeks to four years of age. The center uses the Frog Street Curriculum which includes early reading and math skill building, fine motor development, and vocabulary building. They also offer a Baby STEM program!
