KHS advances record number of students to Region 33 Mixed Choir and Pre-Area

At the Texas All State Region Auditions, 14 King High School students earned a seat in the Region 33 Mixed Choir, setting a new school record.
The following students will be in the Mixed Region Choir:
Soprano 1 Arielle Monuma-Antoine - Senior
Alto 1 Layla Trevino - Junior
Alto 2 Aileen Martinez - Sophomore, De'shawnika Telfor - Junior
Tenor 1 John Adams - Sophomore, Donovan Davis - Senior
Tenor 2 Nicholas Montelongo - Sophomore, Franklin Richardson - Senior
Bass 1 Rafael Baez - Junior, Jonathan Pachuca - Freshmen, Giovanni Silva - Sophomore
Bass 2 Torrey Barlow - Senior, Luis Perez - Junior, Thomas Reyes - Junior
This placement also means they advance in the next level of the All State Choir competition. On December 3, the 14 students listed above will compete at Pre-Area Auditions to earn one of the 5 seats in Region 33 to compete in the final competition of Texas All State, Area.
