Jasmine Bell named principal of Garrett Elementary

Sheldon ISD Board of Trustees approved the naming of Jasmine Bell to lead as principal at Garrett Elementary. With more than 20 years of experience in education, Mrs. Bell has served in Sheldon ISD for six years. She has worked in various positions such as interventionist, Campus Instructional Specialist, Dean of Instruction, and most recently as Assistant Principal at Garrett Elementary. Before moving to Houston, Texas, she was employed in the Mobile Public School System where she worked for 15 years. 

She graduated from Alabama State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and holds a masters degree from Alabama State University in Educational Leadership and Supervision. Additionally, she is the proud mother of three boys that all attend school in Sheldon ISD. She replaces Mr. Chad Davis who has accepted a principal position closer to his home. She will transition into her role this summer.
