On Thursday, August 8, C.E. King High School hosted its San Jacinto College North’s Associate Degree Nursing Program Graduation and Pinning. The partnership between San Jacinto College and C.E. King High school saw a golden moment in time as KNIT (King Nurses in Training) student Emily Villanueva walked across the stage to receive her pin. The KNIT program partners with San Jacinto College and begins exposing high school students to the rigorous coursework and first hand clinical experience required of those seeking to become nurses. Emily’s family and former teachers looked on as she stood on the platform, taking the Nightingale Pledge along with 20 other graduates in her nursing school cohort. Congratulations Emily!
