Monday evening, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Dr. King R. Davis Jr. Educational Support Center! The newly renovated building adds over 23,000 square feet of space including, a large group instruction area with adjacent breakout rooms designed to support collaborative learning. The center will house Sheldon ISD's Advanced Academics, Career & Technology Education, Guidance & Counseling, Multilingual Programs and Special Education departments. In addition to housing these teams, the facility includes dedicated testing spaces and meeting rooms, further equipping staff to provide high-quality, responsive services to our students. The event was attended by Dr. King R. Davis Jr. and his family, the SISD Board of Trustees current and former members, GPD Group (the project architects), Sterling Structures and LAN, district administrators, staff and the public. We look forward to the expanded opportunities this facility will provide as we continue to enhance personalized learning experiences for all Sheldon ISD students.
