Cravens ECA celebrates new wing with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On August 22, Sheldon ISD administration celebrated the opening of a new building addition at Cravens Early Childhood Academy. The new addition was a part of the 2022 bond referendum and includes an additional 13,000 square feet to the existing building. The new space supports the student enrollment growth the early childhood academy is experiencing. With eight additional classrooms, the rooms have transformed for students to receive hands-on learning through museum-concept experiences. “Our students and their futures are worth all the time and dedication spent on this project,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Demetrius McCall. “These exhibit concept rooms provide our youngest learners with an opportunity to travel to spaces that create excitement, build their vocabulary and give them a chance to discover what they want to be when they grow up.”The room was filled with cheers and excitement as the ribbon was cut. Staff provided tours of the new wing featuring the new classrooms that are revitalizing the education Sheldon ISD is providing students.
