On Friday, October 31, 2025, Houston Random Acts of Kindness (HRAK) Inc. hosted the ribbon cutting and grand reveal of the newest RAK Room at C.E. King High School. The event brought together school leadership, community partners, sponsors, and district officials to celebrate a program that empowers students through kindness, responsibility, and financial literacy.

RAK Rooms are student incentive-based stores where students earn rewards for academic success, positive behavior, and community service. The program fosters a culture of generosity, accountability, and life skills, preparing students to thrive in school and beyond.

C.E. King High School joins three other RAK Rooms in Sheldon ISD, located at King Middle School, Null Middle School, and Garrett Elementary School, further expanding opportunities for students across the district to engage in acts of kindness while learning essential life skills.

Attending the event were:

Treveia Dennis, Co-Founder & Executive Director, HRAK

David Dennis, President/CEO, HRAK

Dr. Jillian Howard, Principal, C.E. King High School

Dr. Demetrius McCall, Superintendent, Sheldon ISD

School leadership, community partners, and sponsors

The RAK Room initiative highlights the importance of guiding youth toward success through community, kindness, and hands-on lessons in financial literacy and goal setting. Sheldon ISD is grateful to HRAK and our community partners for supporting programs that nurture both the hearts and minds of our students.
