Sheldon ISD is proud to announce that seven student artists have earned distinguished honors in the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) School Art Program. Following a rigorous selection process, these students were awarded either Best of Show or Gold Medal distinctions for their exceptional talent and creative vision. Artwork will also be featured at the district Winter Art Show on February 3rd.

Sheldon ISD hosted the Elementary UIL competition. Campus grand champion winner was Sheldon Elementary and second place goes to Carroll Elementary. Congratulations to all our little learners at Sheldon ISD!

The Board of Trustees recently held its Sheldon Spotlight Awards, recognizing the exceptional achievements of approximately 200 students from across the school district.

Sheldon ISD is proud to announce that Sarah Perez, a talented fourth-grade student at Carroll Elementary, has earned a significant statewide honor. Her original artwork, titled "Alebrije," has been selected for the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month State Art Show.
