Fast-Growth School District

Sheldon ISD is a fast-growth school district which means it sees student enrollment growth of more than 10% over the last five years. In 2015, Sheldon had approximately 8,500 students, and ended the 2022-23 school year with 10,700. Demographic studies projected Sheldon ISD to have student enrollment of more than 11,000 by 2023; however, Sheldon ISD reached 11,000 students in the fall of 2022. The district continues to grow in student enrollment faster than surrounding school districts.
