  • Bat Information

At certain times of the year, bats become more active due to migration patterns and the changing weather conditions. These issues, along with construction, which may disturb their normal habitat, will cause bats to seek new places for shelter.

At times, bats will find their way into Sheldon ISD facilities through a hole in the exterior of the building or a door left open inadvertently. When a bat is sighted inside a facility, efforts are made to limit access to the area for students and staff until the bat can be caught and relocated offsite.
