Dear Parents and Students,
This is a message from Chris Blake, principal of Carroll Elementary. It is with mixed feelings that I share with you that I have accepted a middle school principal position in Tyler, Texas, where my family and I will be relocating to in July. I know this opportunity will be a good one for my entire family; however, it is still very difficult for me to tell you of my decision to leave.
I have been at Carroll for two years and have seen this school grow into a community of learning that truly places students first. I feel confident that I am leaving this school in excellent shape and ready to continue its outstanding reputation for providing an excellent education to all students.
I would like to thank the students, parents, staff, and Sheldon ISD for the opportunity to serve as principal of such a great campus. It was truly a blessing to be a part of the Sheldon ISD family.
I would also like to inform you that parents and community members are invited to attend a meeting at Carrol Elementary on Wednesday, June 29 at 2:30 p.m. to discuss what characteristics we would like the next principal of Carroll to possess.
Christopher J. Blake
The After School Programs at Carroll Elementary, Monahan Elementary, and Sheldon Elementary were awarded the Partnership Project Grant in the amount of $20,000 each to support sustainability for our next school year.
Sheldon ISD’s martial arts students from all four after school programs (Monahan Elementary, Carroll Elementary, Garrett Elementary and Sheldon Elementary) participated in the district’s first Martial Arts Tournament on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The tournament took place at the C. E. King High School Competition Gym.
