2-Pocket Folder

Newsletters, school notes, field trip permission slips, homework, and monthly calendars, will be placed the 2-pocket folder. 

Keep your BEAR Book clean by reviewing papers that go “RIGHT Back To School” or need to be “LEFT At Home.”

Money and Notes Pouch

This pouch is to be used to send notes to the teacher that need immediate attention, such as absence excuses, urgent concerns, etc.  From time to time, you may also need to send money to school for book club orders, lunch, field trips, etc. When sending lunch money, please put in an envelope or baggie LABELED with child’s name and amount. Please check this section daily.

Rules and Schedule

Our library, lunch, and recess times are indicated on the schedule. Our Classroom Rules which will be used in the classroom as well as school-wide are on the other side.

Sight Words

Everyday your child will participate in our shared reading/singing of the alphabet chart.  Your child will also learn many high frequency words in kindergarten.  We call these words “Sight Words.”  Sight Words will be tested each 9 weeks and it is the expectation of students and parents to practice NIGHTLY!

Reading Log

It is highly recommended  that parents and guardians read to their children each night.. Each time you read a story to your child, fill out the reading log. For every completed log, your child will receive special recognition.

Behavior Chart and Snack Calendar

This is a calendar that will keep you informed of your child’s day at school, Upcoming Events, and your child’s day they are to bring a snack for the class (located on the bottom of the calendar). A “snack bag” will also be sent home the day before as a reminder. It is imperative that you initial the chart daily!!
