I was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Pearland High School. I received my bachelors degree from the University of Houston-Downtown in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in history. Before becoming an educator I played five years of professional baseball in the Toronto Blue Jays Organization. I acquired 83 days of major league service during the 1987 season. I have been a teacher/coach for twelve years. All of my twelve years have been at C.E. King Middle School in Sheldon ISD. I currently teach 7th grade Texas History and have also taught 8th grade American history. I coach Middle School Football at KMS and I am an assistant baseball coach at King High School.
When I am not teaching I enjoy playing golf, watching college football, doing home projects, yardwork, traveling, helping others, and spending time with my three dogs. I am currently training to run in my first full marathon in September with my girlfriend Lori.
