Our Social Studies TEKS cover a broad and interesting variety of topics, focusing on how history has influenced our world today. The eight strands of Social Studies are: History, Government, Economics, Geography, Culture, Citizenship, Science/Technology/Society, and Social Studies Skills. These are recurring themes within each region we study including: Asia, North Africa, Europe, Russian-Eurasia Republics, Sub-Saharan Africa, North America, Central America and the Caribbean, South America, Australia and the Pacific Realm.
Students are encouraged to attend tutorials when they are having difficulty understanding the content being taught. I am available to assist students afterschool on Mondays from 4:05 p.m. until 4:55 p.m. and by appointment on other days. Let's make tutorials count!! Tutorials should not be used to complete assignments but to practice harder concepts. Assignments should be completed at home for homework. COMPLETED ASSIGNMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS!
