The After School Programs at Carroll Elementary, Monahan Elementary, and Sheldon Elementary were awarded the Partnership Project Grant in the amount of $20,000 each to support sustainability for our next school year.
The Sheldon Elementary After School Program Robotics Club participated in the CASE for Kids’ Day at Hewlett Packard Enterprise/HPI on Friday, May 20, 2016. The event was held at the HP campus.
At the HP Kids Day 2016, the Sheldon RoboTechs Marketing team placed 2nd. The students also won many prizes in a raffle that was held.
On Saturday, April 30, 2016, the Sheldon Elementary School RoboTechs participated in the All-Earth Ecobot Challenge. Going on its eighth year, nearly 2,000 students participated in the challenge.
Congratulations to Sheldon Elementary Assistant Principal, Atina Young. She was named as one of the 2016 TEPSA Region Assistant Principals of the Year!
Sheldon ISD’s martial arts students from all four after school programs (Monahan Elementary, Carroll Elementary, Garrett Elementary and Sheldon Elementary) participated in the district’s first Martial Arts Tournament on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The tournament took place at the C. E. King High School Competition Gym.

Sheldon Elementary School is energizing student learning by bringing real world offshore drilling technology to our students. On Monday, January 25, 2016 we brought the museum to our school.
